Nearest airport to Vagamon is at Kochi while the nearest railway station is at Kottayam. Vagamon is well connected with national highways NH 47 and NH 49 and also by state highways SH 8 and SH 14. Regular buses ply from Kottayam (64 km) and Idukki (65 km) for Vagamon. The best way to reach Vagamon is by bus. The swirling road to Vagamon is cut though rocky headlands with dense population of pine trees.
